help!

I'm about to go wading into the Xsun program to find out where the
keyboard is being messed up.  It seems that whenever I run twm with a
twmrc file or olwm, the server beeps once, then won't do keyboard
input.  In fact, olwm just beeps a lot when I type and twm does
nothing at all.

Where should I look to see what's happening?  This is on a
sparc-station1 and similar results occur on my hires sun4/280.

Please send help.
