E-mail response as well as the responses in this group has been
favorable.  Two major issues need to be addressed:

Name:  rec.art.startrek.info  vs.  rec.arts.startrek.announce

Moderator:  who?

Also I have received mail messages suggesting that psot-mortem
convention reports be permitted in the group.  This seems reasonable,
provided the submitters actually went to the con, and they do not lace
their reports with discussion.
