Over that few months of reading news on Usenet, I have read
many interesting press reports on world news which never
seem to make it the US newspapers. 

I am very glad for these posting. Usenet provides an good
means informing a select interested readership of events of
little interest to the average person buying or selling
newspapers. However is there a risk involved. 

What is the official net view of posting copyright material
on usenet.  Is it possible to get permission from AP, UPI
and Reuters.
