Sure:  the Conservative government trying to avoid making a decision on what
to do about abortion.

No middle-of-the-road go-wherever-the-polls-go politician wants to have
anything to do with a decision that has vocal pressure groups on both sides.
They think they'll get re-elected if only they can avoid offending anybody,
and all too often they're right.
