You cannot trust the Bible without trusting that your senses ( the eyes with which you read the Bible ) and your mind ( the brain that thinks symbolically, makes judgements, evaluations, and interprets ) are working properly. So if Dave trusts neither his senses, feelings, thoughts, etc. how can he trust that he understands what the Bible has said? Has Dave never experience the joy of being with God. Does this joy not count as an emotional experience?
