Mr. Gilewski, the repre- sentative of Solidarity at Toronto and a member of Canadian Labour Congress, who just came back from a visit to Poland and Hungary, intro- duced what he has seen inside Poland. Mr. Kusiba, a jouralist, answered many questions about Polish people and culture. And Mr. Kubiak, a Ph.D student at UT, made many complementary explainations. Chinese students were very interested in recent dramastic changes in Eastern European countries and anxiously asked many questions about the backgroud of Polish Solidarity. Those questions covered: The political and economical background of Polish reform, the foundation of Solidarity, the historical and cultural background of Polish people, the religious influence on Polish and the local and global relationships of Polish reform and other countries.
