I tried running it straight out of the box, and it failed miserably.
It seems SCO XENIX at 2.2.3 needs to have M_XENIX undefined for this
to work.

My fix was to add -UM_XENIX to the C flags entry in the Makefile.
After that minor change the code worked out of the box ;-)
