In PROCOMM they have a "wyse50" definition which works OK for the most part. Emacs gets really confused (better yet I get really confused) when used with PROCOMM in terminal emulation mode (wyse50). I am not very familiar with emacs but after reading a yellow manual I seem to recognize at least one way in which my ".emacs" file can be modify to properly work with my PC. However, after looking at the .emacs I must admit that I get lost and cannot make too much sense out of it to fix my problem. Also the manual talks about a ../../lisp/term directory that contains a file similar to a termcap definition which is used by emacs after checking the terminal type in use. I have GNU EMACS 18.41.1 Could any one help me with this problem. Any explanation of how to properly set up emacs under a wyse50 terminal emulation will be appreciated. We are moving all of our wyse60 terminals out so it is rather urgent for me to come up with a solution. Thanks Robert Young (Peregrine Systems (619) 431-2400, Ext 167
