Would someone familiar with J. Serra's work on nontraditional
image processing techniques post a brief opinion (maybe even
a review) of the principal contributions made in the original
version of this book and the subsequent two volume release?

I suspect these new techniques might be of interest to many
people in this newsgroup.  I am seeing more systems based on
Serra's work at various national conferences.
