Message-ID: <8912262203.AA05180@crayola.cs.UMD.EDU> Date: 4 Dec 89 14:21:45 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: Penn State University Lines: 27 Approved: laser-lovers@brillig.umd.edu I apologize if this question keeps cropping up in this group, but this is the first time I've had to deal with the problem: We have a bunch of HP laser printers, mostly LJ II's and +'s. We also have one of the original LaserJets with no expansion slot for added memory. I would like to know if there is any way (factory authorized or not) to increase the memory of this older machine to make it capable of handling high-res plots and more downloaded fonts. I am not adverse to using third party hardware or physically modifying the existing memory circuitry. Any advice that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated! (Purchasing a new LJ II or substituting one of our other printers for the older one is, unfortunately, not an option: it is part of a classified computer system and substitution would generate a lot of administrative headaches).
