Keywords: minix, Macintosh, Disk Message-ID: <95878@pyramid.pyramid.com> Date: 24 Dec 89 17:40:18 GMT Organization: Pyramid Technology Corp., Mountain View, CA Lines: 21 I'm really glad to hear that Minix will soon be out for the Mac. I have a few questions... I currently have an SE/30, 5MB ram. I assume that minix will run on such a configuration (please correct me if I err). The questions concern disk space and supported drives. + How much disk is required for the full distribution (source+obj) + Does the above include swap + Are SCSI drivers for non-apple drives supported? + Are the drivers read from the drives boot-area? + Are partitioning schemes supported? + Are the Syquest 45MB disks supported? (How about the Ehman)?? + How about the soon to ship (I think) Syquest 80? + Also, is appletalk supported? + How about direct support for CAP w/o fastpath? (I know, I'm dreaming). Thanks for any information that you can supply. -Bruce Beare bjb@pyrshadow.pyramid.com
