I have thought of this too. I often thought about doing the port myself, but I just don't have the time. I would like this because I think that OS/2 is better able to handle TeX than DOS is. I don't like having to reboot my PC from a floppy just so that I can leave enough free RAM to load DOSTEX. I'd be interested in knowing any efforts that others may be making in this direction.
