I have CAP 5.0 running on a Sun (OS 3.5).  I have found that papif works
fine in the context

papif <file

but only gets the first several bytes when fed through a pipe:

cat file | papif.

This means that I can't use filters (e.g. psraster), a la TranScript's
psif filter shell script.

Scrutiny reveals that papif forks a "<stdin>" process in front of itself
when reading from a pipe, presumably to allow seeking for page reversals.
If 'file' is text, then papif also forks a pstext process.  In the first
case above, pstext gets put in front of papif.  In the second case, in
front of papif but behind "<stdin>".

Can anyone help me to get papif to work with pipes?  Thanks.
