I am looking for source for the equivalent of AT&T Unix's shl shell layer
manager - or at least some code that I could hack to become a shell
layer manager.

What I really want to do is to implement an equivalent of SCO's 'mscreen'
facility on an AT&T Unix 3.2 system....
