I first want to say that I not trying to start a flame war here by asking all you netters which C compiler is the "best". All I want is some info for my specific purpose. I want to write some MIDI software( editor/librarian, sequencer ..) on the Amiga 2000. I want to do it in C. I'm relatively new in the Amiga world and I'm not that familiar with what type of C compiler is out there for the Amiga. Could anyone recommend me a compiler for my specific purpose that I stated above. And please, I want information on why a certain compiler is good. I don't want any flaming comments. Also, has anyone out there done a similar project? If you have could you recommend any books on it. I saw some books on "How to write MIDI software for the MAC and the PC". Is there a book like that for the Amiga or a just a generic book? Any info will be very much appreciated! ThanX The Eelman jol@sei.cmu.edu
