Wilson/1000000) Distribution: comp.sys.amiga Organization: IBM AWD, Austin, TX Lines: 34 I got a GVP Impact A500 Hard drive for Christmas, and I had a thought that any of you budding Hardware makers might want to scribble down. "When you make a hard disk install script - don't assume I will want to use your system set-up. Ask me for my workbench diskette and use it as much as possible (like preferences, c: directory, libs: directory, etc.). Just copy in the stuff from your setup that you need." Also, a question for the AmigaDOS gurus; "How do I change the damn disk Icon for the GVP HD?" I have tried using the Imagemaster program and other Icon generating programs I have used for other Icons, but when I try to save the damn Icon I've drawn for the Hard Disk, it only reverts back to a dresser lokking thing with 3 drawers on it (BUT,... the actual disk Icon that shows up on the screen is just a Blank floppy Icon). I have also noticed that when I take a snapshot of the Hard Disk root window (the one I get when I first double-click on the HD Icon) it doesn't last after a reboot. Help me please... +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |The views expressed herein, are the sole responsibility of the typist at hand| +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |USNail: UUCP: | |2323 Wells Branch Pkwy., #G107 cs.utexas.edu!romp!ibmchs!auschs\ | |Austin, TX 78728 !sabre.austin.ibm.com!robin | |Home: (512)251-6889 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^<-MUST BE INCLUDED| +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
