Now that I've installed a GS Ramkeeper I can no longer get Shrinkit 2.1 to shrink files. It doesn't matter whether I run it from the ROM disk or from the 3.5 disk. It lets me specify the files to shrink and the destination file then it briefly spins the source disk and crashes into the monitor. The register readouts are: 00/BEEC:00 00 BRK 00 A=3400 X=0001 Y=00FF S=01FA D=0000 P=32 B=00 K=00 M=0C Q=88 L=1 M=1 X=1 e=1 I tried version 2.01 and it works fine. My configuration includes an Applied Eng GS RAMPlus (1 meg) + the Apple GS Memory card (512k) plugged into the Ramkeeper. The ROM disk is set to 511k (512k total for ROM). No RAM disk setup. I have three physical drives attached - the standard GS 3.5 drive, a Unidisk 3.5, and an old 5.25 disk II. The drives are identified as S5,D1 = GS 3.5, S5,D2 = ROMDisk, S2,D1 = Unidisk 3.5, and S6,D1 = 5.25. I'm running under 8 bit PRODOS not GS/OS. The other features of Shrinkit (such as Type, Delete, Copy, Catalog, and Extract/Unshrink all seem to work fine. Anyone else out there having similar problems? Since I had to cancel my subscription to this net due to mail volume limits you'll have to send any replies to me direct. Thanks, Eric S. Ford FORDE@UV4.EGLIN.AF.MIL
