Normally you cannot do disk accessing while interupts are on.
I wonder if this couldn't be worked  around. It seems that a
patch could be written which, when accessing a virtual disk in 
/ram would allow for interupts. It's too bad that Dave Lyons has 
a job now or maybe we'd be able to sic him onto the problem :-).
