Well, this turns out to be false (or else I did something mighty wrong). The big question is, how does one have active at the same time: modem port, 80 cols, mouse, 3.5 drive, 5.25 drive and a SCSI hard disk AND Appletalk? I originally tried this out by putting my SCSI card in slot 4 and turning the mouse port off. I had no problems with this as none of my 8-bit software uses the mouse. Once the machine was up in the Finder, the mouse doesn't work. More slot-swapping. Right now I have the SCSI in slot 6 - and conseqently no 5.25 drive. I need all three drives available as I do occasionally make up Z-Link disks for people. WHAT CAN I DO?? -- Dave Whitney dcw@sun-bear.lcs.mit.edu ...!mit-eddie!sun-bear!dcw dcw@athena.mit.edu My employer pays me well. This, however, does not mean he agrees with me. I wrote Z-Link & BinSCII. Send me bug reports. I use a //GS. Send me Tech Info.
