Hi Dave,

To answer your questio about getting the mouse port, Appletalk, 80 columns
and a SCSI card to work (with both 5.25 and 3.5 inch disks), I'll first
assume that you have an older ROM 01 GS.  The fix is simple, though
not really recommended.  Put the SCSI card in SLOT 1.  This will allow
Appletalk to work from slot 7, slot 5 and 6 can be used for disk purposes,
and slots 2, 3, and 4 can be left alone.  Set slot 1 for the "your card"
setting, and everything will work.  I had this configuration for
over a year on my older GS before I got a new one.  Apparently
as someone in AppleDTS told me some time ago, even though the card
is supposed to go into slots 4, 5, 6, or 7, slot 1 will work also.
This will also allow you to use any network printer over Appletalk,
which I also assume that you are doing.  Let me know if you have any problems
with this setup.
