Oh well, guess we won't be hearing from Greg anymore on this topic.. how about anyone else who's been involved in designing PC boards, or etching them, or the processes of automated drilling and parts insertion.. can anyone think of a reason why it would be more cost effective to take ONE part which serves an identical purpose in TWO products, and redesign it so it only works in one of them, thus requiring TWO separate parts, lower production volumes on each, and separate inventories..?
