The manual gives an example of a text object which is duplicated numerous times with a small x and y offset to create a 3-dimensional effect. The instructions say to change the attribute of the topmost copy to "outline" so that it will appear white with the other copies forming a shadow. When I do the above, the outlined copy appears to be "clear" so that the background copies show through, i.e., the effect doesn't work. After several tries it appears that I just don't know how to make an object "opaque white", so that it obscures other objects behind it. I have tried to change the "fill" parameters, but am apparently not putting together the correct combinations. Can someone please straighten me out? (I'm sure it's trivial.)
