Lines: 35 We're have a 386 running SCO Xenix 2.3.2 which is replacing a lot of the things we used to do on PC XT-type machines. I'd like to make use of these XTs as terminals but have not been able to find a good terminal emulator to use with them. Here's what I've tried: ProComm Plus: Easy enough to use and fairly fast with a wide variety of emulations. Unfortunately, none of the emulations seem to work completely right (and I've got _real_ VT100s and Z19s to compare them to). Have talked with tech support there -- they say they have no problem with the VT100 emulation but won't give out a copy of their VT100 termcap either... Hayes Smartcom: A seemingly robust VT100 emulation. Unfortunately it's much too slow on an XT-type machine (even the so-called "Turbo XTs" we have from PC Limited). It does work okay on a 286 machine. So before I spend too much more money and/or get too frustrated at software vendors, does anyone have any recommendations for a fast emulator for an XT-type PC with accurate emulation (any emulation would be okay (except for "dumb" :-) )). Please mail me recommendations -- I'll post a summary to the net.
