Browse the magazine ads and computer stores.

Check out the high end printers.  They are color, 24 pin, wide carriage
which he may or not need, but in addition they are fast.
He needs a heavy one, like the Epson LQ2550, for high speed and
multiple forms, or it will wear out.

Also consider whether the application software supports the printer
directly.  Software conversion is sometimes slower than printing.
