No, MiniScribe is still there, although certainly having problems.

Most people watching them expect them to file Chapter 11 within the week.
Note that this is *not* a bankruptcy filing, but a "reorganization" which
will allow them to hold off creditors for a bit and figure out how to get
themselves out of a mess that former management apparently got them into.
(Their problems are reported to stem from bad management and dishonest
accounting; they've had consistently good products.)
