Try Checkwrite Plus from the `Managing Your Money' folks.  It is the MYM
checking and budgeting sections split out from MYM.  It is only $29 mail order
from PC Connection.
I have used Checkwrite Plus since it came out and am quite happy with it.
It is very easy to use, (easier than the others I've seen once you set it up.)
You can be as detailed as you want to go with budget accounts, roll your own.
The current version of MYM is much easier to use than version 3.0 & before.
It handles multiple accounts & types of accounts for one person.  To handle
accounts for people under different budgets, you can set CW+ up in separate
directories.  (MYM handles this differently.)
It has numerous other features and also supports Checkfree Electronic banking.

You don't have to pay the extra money every year.  I have gotten some of their
literature and it sounds like you get telephone support & free upgrades & some
sort of newsletter for the extra money.
