Upon installing it on two networked machines (a SE/30 and a plain SE), and calling it up from the Chooser, it froze both machines solid. After forced reboots, neither machine would start from the internal hard disks. I'm still trying to repair the damage. At a minimum, both System files got trashed, and possibly the PRAMs as well. Use of any network-related INITs (e.g., Broadcast, Public Folder) crashes the machines during bootup. No important files appear to have been lost, but I expect I'll have to reinitialize both hard disks. :-( I haven't found any evidence of a virus, but beware... JCRemote seems to be anything but benign. A friendly suggestion for the original poster: *NEVER* post something as potentially powerful as JCRemote without including reasonably detailed documentation. A couple of sentences telling what it does is not sufficient. Having said all this, I'd still like to give JCRemote a try. What's the trick to using this thing? John Clark clark@rand.org
