Have just installed a 20 MB hard disk on my 1400LT. The drive comes from
CMS Enhancements, Tustin CA. I bought it from MicroSense, in Leucadia, CA.

It's a 20 MB internal drive. MS also offers 20, 30, and 40 MB external
drives, but I wanted the internal.

Installation was on the difficult side. Took me about 3 hours--it's *much*
harder than putting a disk drive in a PC (or a PDP-ll, for that matter).
I would advise getting someone to do it unless you're a DIY type.

Cost was $800 + tax and shipping for the drive. This is a competitive
price for a laptop drive.

Battery life will be a problem. What you really have to do is get a late
model charger from Tandy, and do some resistor replacement in the 1400LT
power supply. I didn't do that (I'm off on a trip tomorrow), but probably
will do so when I come (gad, I dread taking that case apart yet again) home.
