Lines: 24 I picked up the new Deskmate a few months back. I decided it was too blinkin' slow on my home machine and took it to work to try on my Compaq Deskpro 286/12. Installation went fine. Then I tried to run it. The machine just "went away" I had to reboot. After much experimentation I narrowed it down to this: If I have the Novell Netware network shell (NET3.COM installed, the program goes away. otherwise it runs. Note that I don't have to be logged on... Anybody know what the *hell* is going on here? This has got to some sort of major brain-damage in Deskmate. And if someone tells me that I need to buy that "network companion" or whatever that workgroup package is I'll be *very* upset. I neither need nor want *any* of it's features. While I'm at it, I was rather upset to discover that Deskmate's graphics package doesn't support Tandy's printer graphics. I know that all the newer Tandy printers support Epson graphics, but if I wanted to buy a new printer just to get Epson emulation, I'd buy an *Epson*! -- Leonard Erickson ...!tektronix!reed!percival!bucket!leonard CIS: [70465,203] "I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools.
