I want to use it to call in to the campus computer networks here, but the terminal seems to generate an odd "carriage-return" value that makes problems. I don't have a manual (yet), so... Symptoms: when I dial in to an Ultrix system I get a login prompt; but when I type my account and hit RETURN the cursor returns to beginning of line without dropping down to the next line. The host doesn't appear to realize that it has a response. If I call in to a VMS machine, I can log in okay, and I can then "set host..." to remote-login to the Ultrix system, and everything works fine. Only the direct call-in fails. Can anyone tell me what's going on? How can I fix it? All and any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
