It appears that data received from a raw socket are prepended by a twenty-byte header. Does anybody known the exact format of this header? It seems to contain the source and destination addresses, protocol family and number, data length and some other information. Thanks in advance. |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| | Wilson SHEK | ACSnet : shek@mullian.ee.mu.oz | | Department of Elec Engineering | internet : shek@mullian.ee.mu.oz.au | | University of Melbourne | uunet : uunet!munnari!mullian!shek |
