We have discovered a problem with Anvil's Smart I/O Card on Xenix 2.3.2.
If you have  a direct uucp connection then enabling this tty on the Anvil
board causes the getty to put out a LCK file and keep it there.  This does
not happen with regular serial ports.  Nor does it happen when the tty has
no entry in the Devices file (ie: it's not in special UUCP mode).  Anvil
accepts that it is their problem and is presently working on a solution.
Just thought that Anvil users should be aware.
