I have a question about getting a WORM (Write Once, Read Many) drive working under Xenix. At work, we have a '386 running SCO Xenix and I need to get Xenix to understand a CD WORM drive. The drive in question is made by Storage Technologies and is called "Lazer Drive". I've called them and hope to hear back about a driver RSN. Questions: 1) Is there a driver for this animal? 2) Are there other CD-WORM drives that somebody out there in net-land has already gotten up and running under SCO Xenix? (We aren't necessarily stuck with LazerDrive) 3) Any suggestions for creating applications to use the WORM drive? We already have it running under MS-DOS, with in-house COBOL programs to write, read/display the data. Xenix obviously presents better opportunities. Thanks. BTW: I spell Laser with the 's', but I seem to recall the doc's said "Lazer". No Flames! -- Dave Egan | Radio: KC6HLW uucp: ...{spsd,zardox,felix}!dhw68k!daveegan | (\KT !)
