According some documentation that I read somewhere, it said that compiling with -DSUN_WINDOWS in the server would allow you to call up an X server inside of a Sunview window. In trying to do this, it appears that the X support for that option was for pre-SunOS 4.x; when SUN_WINDOWS is defined, it tries to include several include files from /usr/include/sunwindow, and those files exist on my 3/60 running 3.4, but do not exist on my Sun-4 running 4.0.3 (like rect.h, rectlist.h, and win_screen.h). Has anybody been able to compile X11R3 with SUN_WINDOWS support? If not, does anybody know how to do it? I have compiled X11R3 on 3/60, 386i and 4/60 (all running SunOS 4.0.x) with -DSUN_WINDOWS without any problems. I have tested that it works only in 3/60. All include files you mentioned are present in all machines. Perhaps you have not loaded optional sunview toolkits (Sunview developers toolkit or whatever)? -- Teemu Torma Front End Oy, Helsinki, Finland Internet: tot@nyse.frend.fi
