Message-ID: Date: 24 Dec 89 11:18:39 GMT Sender: news@phoenix.Princeton.EDU Distribution: gnu Organization: Cognitive Science Lab. Princeton University. Lines: 14 It seems that all the lock files in the lock subdir only record files that are compressed (ie. when I visit a compressed file which will be uncompressed before being display onto the screen) and that the record is never deleted when I kill the buffer nor when I get out of Emacs entirely -- so the files in the lock directory just keep growing. I still don't see what the lock directory is for especially when it doesn't record other ordinary files and that I see no deletion of such lock files whatsoever. Any pointers appreciated. -- Eric Ho Princeton University eho@confidence.princeton.edu
