[...] I've followed this thread with interest, since I'm also a frustrated r.a.m. dropout, and this is the first name suggestion that I've really liked. Along the same lines, maybe we should think about rec.arts.film as another alternative; it seems to me it largely shares the advantages Jon mentions, but leaves it marginally less open to charges of pretension.
