Instead of using ANALYZE/RMS/FDL, EDITing the .FDL file and CONVERT/FDL,
a much easier way of doing things is to use the FILE program available from
various VMSSERVs.

For those who have FILE, just do a FILE/ATTRIBUTE=NOIMPLIED filename.fileext.
This will change the record attribute of files received with RECE/BIN to NONE,
so that they can be downloaded properly.

P.S.    With regard to downloading binary files from VMS to PC,
        KERMIT works fine if you do a SET FILE TYPE BINARY in KERMIT
        before you begin your downloading. - Raymond.
