Having a server double as a workstation - that can crash, get bumped, or reset by mistake is not in line with fault tollerance. If the dept. is *realy* short on funds and it can do without some features, give/sell them a copy of 2.0a if you have one from an upgrade. Funds are funds but remind them that doing things right the first time is less costly in the long run. Like buying a tape backup...
