Is Sony ICF-7700 worthwhile? X-To: swl-l@cuvmb.cc.columbia.edu To: UofToronto LAN redistribution Message-ID: <90Jan10.144352est.57426@ugw.utcs.utoronto.ca> Newsgroups: bitnet.swl-l Distribution: ut Approved: devnull@gpu.utcs.toronto.edu Well, my parents decided to disregard my request *not* to bi given a new shortwave radio for Christmas; so I now have a Sony ICF-7700 portable receiver. (I had planned to pick up a Sangean ATS-803A or maybe a Sony ICF-2010.) So: should I keep it, or should I have them send it back? Is it worth keeping? (Second strike against them: they also bought me a WRTH... the 1989 edition, which is of course quite out of date by now. Sigh. But it's at least partially usable, and I can get by with the frequency lists posted here.) ++Brandon -- Brandon S.
