I just purchased a Radio Shack PRO-34 handheld, and I only read
the tail-ends of some talks about modifications available for this
unit.  Something about clipping a diode to free up some locked-out
frequencies in the 800+ range?

Hey.. I'm just starting this stuff... what do I know, right?  :-)
