   In contemplating the installation of a new LAN, it is relatively
easy to become paranoid about bringing the whole network down with a
server failure.

  Reality Test:  does anyone have any stats on the frequency of server
failures and their causes?  I have in mind moderate to large networks
with servers in the 32Mb RAM/1Gb disk range.
