 Well, don't forget that the subtitle of DDJ is now "Software Tools for 
 the Professional Programmer" and has been since arouncd January of this
 year (1989).  I guess that means that you aren't considered professional
 by them, if you don't program in some flavor of C.  I like C, but it is 
 even possible to do professional quality work in compiled QuickBASIC, if
 you know what you are doing.
