Hi.

I am using the following program for dvi2ps translation on an IBM
under VM/370:

   TeX82 DVI Translator Version 2.07b for PostScript
           Apple LaserWriter laser printer

Unfortunately this version doesn't handle German UMLAUTS correctly.
Where can I get a more recent version (e.g. 2.09b)?

By the way:
In order to make TeX's \special command work, the DVI file needs to be
manipulated, e.g. ASCII to EBCDIC of the \special argument string ...
I have written something very dirty for that purpose (perhaps someone is
interested). Or is there any clean solution?

Help very much appreciated.
