Message-ID: <25660@cup.portal.com> Date: 6 Jan 90 08:26:36 GMT References: <5843@sdcc6.ucsd.edu> Organization: The Portal System (TM) Lines: 21 Compuserve has recently initiated an access from the Internet into their network. You can access a Compuserve Information Service user from the Internet by sending to his CIS userid like so: xxxxx.xxx@compuserve.com The "xxxxx.xxx" corresponds to his Compuserve userid (which he knows in the form "xxxxx, xxx". Just replace the comma with a period and fire away. If a CIS user wants to reply back into the Internet, he can do so like so (from Easyplex at the To: prompt): >INTERNET: user@loc So for example, I could send myself mail from CIS by sending to: >INTERNET: Walter_William_Kemmerer@cup.portal.com As a CIS user, I can vouch for this service working. It's not always real fast, but it seems to work. Cheers, and good luck in gettin' around in the networks.
