I understand he had some serious programming put in on a Fido to UseNet gateway - but everytime I try to understand just WHERE he put his time in I get confused... However, I too, want to try and connect to UseNet - any info would be very much appreciated. Best description I've seen so far is in the back of the UNIX Programmer's Manual (vol. 2). The book I have appears to talk about UNIX System 7. However, I STILL have more questions - - What is the very FIRST things that the Master/Slave uucico programs trade? BEFORE the protocol agreement (Uxxxx and Px). - Isn't there a way to introduce other protocols into uucico? What is it - and is there an XMODEM protocol? Any other help is appreciated ... thanks!
