The Centre will coordinate work on the Edinburgh Concurrent Supercomputer (a 400-transputer Meiko Computing Surface), two AMT DAPs and other existing and envisaged resources. Applications are now invited for 5 research posts to cover work in the following areas: Parallelisation Tools Mapping and Load Balancing Numerical Algorithms Performance Measurement Applications Development Data Distribution Applications are also sought for an additional 4 posts in: Systems Development Heteroarchitecture Support Visualisation Documentation and Training Starting salaries will be in the range #9816 - #14,703 with placement according to age, qualifications, and experience; one coordinating position will be in the range #15,372 - #17,994. Appointments will be for two or three years in the first instance. Applicants are expected to have a degree in Computer Science or other relevant discipline; experience in parallel computing would be advantageous.
