I suppose I should emphasize that this is *not* a discussion to split comp.periphs, but a discussion regarding a new group with will draw some of its intended audience from comp.periphs but also from comp.sys.sun, comp.sys.dec, comp.sys.mac.hardware, comp.sys.hp (i.e. traditional hardware interface questions) as well as comp.unix.ultrix, comp.unix.questions (software interface and configuration questions) plus comp.arch and other theoretical and futures aspects of scsi. Still coming up with the list of groups that the initial call should be x-posted to, I think this covers it pretty well. --Ed
