The limits are 59 and 236 because a few of the other slots are used to change to shadow banks of color registers, giving you even more flexibility (but it's going to be real interesting to write optimal HAM encoding s/w for the beast!) It's just too bad that it only supports 320-wide (lo-res) images, but that's about all you can do without getting into external frame buffers and that'll up the cost severely. A fine box, from what I've heard.
