It is dated oct-31-89, though I didn't recieve it 'til late December (and didn't know about it til I went to work Thursday, where it was waiting for me). Between the two updates, WP has become fairly usable in terms of bugs and mis-features with the notable exception of low-memory handling. On a one-meg machine, opening a couple of documents in WP, the calendar and the notebook is almost a gauranteed visit from the GURU (it is not this combination in particular, anything which gets the machine into that availablity of memory with a WP program will do). After almost three years of continous work, you'd think they could do better on that account... -- A lack of prior planning on the part of any programmer always constitutes an emergency.
