Does anyone know of a way to get Scripit to WAIT for a specified text string to be printed to the selected window? For example, let's say I want to send a RETURN+linefeed to the selected window (Handshake) *after* the message 'CONNECT 2400' is printed to the screen. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this with Scripit 1.20 is by using WAIT [no. of jiffies], but I want to send the RETURN+linefeed as soon as the connect occurs, *not* 5-20 seconds later. This isn't really a good example because there are other times during a session when the time it takes for a command is extremely variable. Scripit is a really nice 'scripting-control language', but if anyone out there regularly chats with the author on Compuserve, maybe you've heard something about future enhancements? If not, I may try mailing to Khalid's CIS mailbox. Second: Is ShoWiz 2.0 (or an earlier version) available via anonymous FTP, and where? FYI, ShoWiz is a slideshow program, and in its 2.0 version it has some extra features which make it more of a multimedia program. Yes, I read about it in December Amazing Computing. thanks for replies, and email is fine if you dare :-) # Baird McIntosh (2nd yr CS/MATH) -- "Sure, *sue* me; you WON'T get Ami!" :-) # # INTERNET: c503719@umcvmb.missouri.edu <-or-> BITNET: c503719@umcvmb.bitnet # # "You can keep your toy soldiers to segregate the black and white, but when # # the dust settles and the blood stops running, how do you sleep at night?" #
